This American Sign Language course is open to participants of all levels. Those new to American Sign Language will learn about introductions, fingerspelling, Deaf culture, and history. We will also learn how to communicate about feelings, family members, food, and much more in a friendly and fun environment. Advanced learners will build on vocabulary and concepts, grammar, Deaf Culture awareness, and expressive fluency and smoothness of production signs and receptive skills.
The class will run January 16- March 20 on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm in room M107 at UW-Marinette. The class is $149.
Class participants can earn 2.0 Continuing Education Units with completion of this course.
Participants are required to purchase The Complete Idiot’s Guide to conversational sign language Illustrated.
