This four-topic plus course is designed to assist students in preparing for the ACT assessment exam, and is just in time for the ACT! The four topics covered include English, Reading, Math, and Science. In addition, the course will also cover the writing portion of the test as well as test-taking strategies. Students are provided with plenty of test-taking practice to help with the anxiety that is often experienced during these tests. The class will begin with a simulated four-hour ACT Pre-test that will give our instructors an overview of which skills each student is strong in and which skills they need to practice.
Please keep in mind that we cannot review twelve years of school, but know that the students that participate in class and practice outside of class will see a definite improvement in their scores!
The course covers the four multiple-choice test areas: English, Reading, Science, and Math, and also reviews writing and text anxiety.
Students must have their signed youth release forms completed during online registration OR submitted a paper copy to the Continuing Education office PRIOR to the start of class or they will not be allowed to attend class.
