Explore the Buddhist side of New York City in this three-day tour. Join UWM at Waukesha Continuing Education on another educational tour and immerse yourself in a contemplative experience as we check out famous Buddhist landmarks, museums and meditation centers. Each day will include cultural exhibits, meditation sessions and delicious Asian food. Buddhist roots run deep in the Big Apple and have branched out into all forms of practice. Our visit will include beautiful expositions of Buddhist art at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Rubin Museum of Art, and The Jacques Marchais Museum of Tibetan Art on Staten Island. We will explore ethnic temples in Chinatown, Manhattan and Queens. We will even meditate at the historic First Institute of Zen in America. Plunge into the sights and sounds of urban Buddhism in the greatest city on Earth. If you’re a Buddhist practitioner or a novice to this ancient tradition, this is the tour for you!
