Step back in time when life was a little simpler. Our group will travel aboard historic rail cars enjoying a delightful 3-course lunch while traveling through the beautiful scenery of southeast Wisconsin. We will travel from the East Troy depot to Mukwonago’s Indianhead Park and back again. Before heading home, we will make sure to stop at the famous Elegant Farmer, an upscale shopping experience once featured on the Food Channel and known for its Apple Pie baked in a Brown Paper Bag.

The East Troy Railroad Museum operates on the last remaining piece of the original interurban network which operated in Wisconsin. By 1939, the railroad was retired by The Milwaukee Electric Railway & Light Company due to lack of ridership. Since everything from gas to groceries came into East Troy by the rail line, the town passed a referendum to purchase the remaining 7.5 mile stretch of track and overhead for freight purposes. The Village of East Troy operated the railroad until the year 2000 when it was purchased by the Friends of East Troy Railroad. Time will also be given to check out the depot museum and gift shop.

This package includes roundtrip coach transportation from both campuses and lunch aboard the train.
