My Fair Lady is an American classic based on George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe. This classic show takes place in Edwardian London and features Eliza Doolittle, a Cockney flower girl, who takes speech lessons from Professor Henry Higgins, a phoneticist, who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” In 1956, and again with every revival, My Fair Lady has been a notable, critical and popular success. Continuing Education is counting on this production to be as beautiful as all of the others.
