Cancellation Policy
Continuing
Education Classes:
We
understand that sometimes life happens. If you are unable to attend your class,
please email Continuing-ed@uwm.edu. We will be happy to contact your instructor
to let them know and provide you with any material missed.
If
you cancel 8 days prior to the start of your class, we are happy to issue an
account credit/voucher to you. If you do not provide an 8-day cancellation
notice, you will not be eligible to receive a credit/voucher*. For Continuing
Education to continue to provide the community with the outreach programming
that we have, all cancellations will be assessed a 6% administrative fee.
Unfortunately, no refunds will be provided.
*Please
remember, vouchers are not issued for and cannot be used towards online or
credit courses.*
Give
back to your community!
If
you would like to provide a donation or contribute to our scholarship fund, you
can do so at check-out by adding any dollar amount to your order! You can also
contact our department at continuing-ed@uwm.edu. Continuing Education is
cost-recovery and relies on community donations to help support its programs.
Educational
Travel Policy:
All
travel deposits and payments are non-refundable due to mandatory deposits made
on your behalf. We do understand that sometimes life happens, which is why we
strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance to ensure
that you are covered if life does happen to you!
If
you need to cancel, there is no guarantee of any refund or account credit for
our travel. It is recommended that you try to find someone to take your place
or utilize your trip insurance for reimbursement. There are times we can
provide a credit for things that have not been prepaid that we are able to
cancel on your behalf. We will check on this for you and let you know.
For
Continuing Education to continue to provide the community with the outreach
programming that we have, all cancellations will include a 6% administrative
fee.
Subject To Change Note:
Prices
subject to change based on vendors, tax, and fuel increases. Departure/return
dates subject to change based on airline scheduling. We reserve the right to
make changes to the itinerary based on the best interests of the group.
Single
Supplement Note:
Continuing
Education overnight trips are based on double occupancy, priced per person. If
travelers would prefer a single room, we offer a single-supplement fee option
for your convenience. If you do not have a roommate, please register for the
single occupancy. If requested, we will make every attempt to match roommates
for your trip. If you find a roommate, we will manually change your status to
double occupancy. Any deposits paid will remain as a credit on your account and
will be applied to your final payment. If your final payment has been made, you
will receive a credit voucher, which can be applied toward a class or your next
trip with us.
Covid-19: Right now, UWM has approved
travel to many destinations and are continuously watching areas of concern for
Covid spikes and variants. If UWM cancels your trip, we will make every effort
to refund or credit your payments. Refunds will be based on vendors refunding
any advanced deposits that have been secured on your behalf. If you decide to
cancel based on Covid or other concerns, there is no guarantee of any refund or
account credit on your trip.
