Asheville & Nashville: Culture and Cuisine image

In the spirit of the past seven Blues and Greens foodie tours, UW-Colleges Southeast Region is proud to present our eighth entry, "Asheville and Nashville: Culture and Cuisine". You will again experience the pair of music and art scene from two great cities with some of their most famous restaurants. You’ll have shrimp and grits and hot chicken (don’t worry) in Nashville and listen to the best music in the country. You’ll have farm-to-table creative dishes and visit galleries and mansions in Asheville. Heck, you’ll spend three nights in the shadow of the Biltmore, the Vanderbilt mansion.  In Nashville, you’ll visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, Bicentennial Capital Mall, Gulch District, Parthenon, and more. You’ll see shows at the Grand Ole Opry or the Ryman Auditorium (artists TBD). In Asheville, you’ll visit the Antique Tobacco Barn and the River Arts District, and have a special tour of the Biltmore Mansion. In addition, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy Biltmore Village.  On our way home, you’ll stop for a night in Cincinnati for a final delicious meal in The Banks District. Trip includes 3 nights in Nashville, 3 nights in Ashville, 1 night in Cincinnati, most meals and admission to museums, and some entertainment venues.
