
This ceramic workshop focuses on the production of clay objects that will be fired in the Waterville wood-fired kiln at the Gertrude Sherman building at the UWM at Waukesha Field Station. Explore the various techniques applicable to clay such as hand building by coil and slab, and throwing on the wheel to ultimately create a body of work reflecting your personal style or aesthetic. The wood-fired workshop will collaborate with students from the UW-Milwaukee wood-fired workshop course taught by Michael Ware. Class will meet at the UWM at Waukesha Field Station, W349 S1480 S. Waterville Rd, Oconomowoc.

Students are required to sign the UWM Risk waiver release form by the first day of class.
Students are required to pay their clay material fees of approximately $32 by the end of the class. Fees are dependent on the amount of clay used by student and can be paid to instructor or paid directly to the Continuing Education department.
