Conservation Camp: Save the Planet!

Course Detail

Conservation Camp: Save the Planet! image

This is an opportunity for students to unplug and embark on a different kind of adventure to be a conservationist! With so many changes happening to our natural environment, we are asking the question “What can you do to help conserve our resources?”. During this week, camp participants will not only learn how they can create a positive impact on their local communities, but why it is so important! Camp participants will be on a mission to see if humans have impacted our planet by studying climate change and learning about weathering and erosion. Campers will brainstorm and engage in science activities to help understand renewable and nonrenewable resources and will also become wildlife biologists as they design a feeding station for migratory birds. Participants will design their own recycling projects and find out what they can do to help endangered species, both plant and animal! Dress for outside and bring water shoes, a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray each day of camp. *Limited Space Available*

Camp will be held at UWM at Waukesha Field Station; W349 S1480 S. Waterville Rd. Oconomowoc
