A community Explore Membership will provide special activities, travel, socials, and discounts.
Semester membership runs from August-January and February-August. Discounts are only available while you are an active member. Memberships can be purchased for a single or a family (2 people living at the same address). Annual memberships are valid from January 1st -December 31st each year.

Single Membership: $80/semester or $150/annual
Family Membership: $160/semester or $300/annual

Explore card and Name Badge: Explore members will receive a membership card and name tag to wear on campus and during all Educational Travel Opportunities.
Campus Privileges: Community Members will receive a UWM email account which will provide unlimited, remote access to UWM Library’s research databases, Microsoft Office applications, and Outlook email, as well as easy library check-out of all available materials. *Family membership provides one email account. For a UWM email account, we need full name and date of birth.
Educational Travel: Members receive a $50 discount on one day-trip or an Educational Travel domestic or international opportunity. *Family members will receive discounts for 2 people within their membership.
Youth University STEM Camps: Member receive a $50 discount for our Youth STEM University camps. *Family membership will receive discounts for 2 people within their membership.
Fall Experience: Explore members will venture across the nation for a free behind-the-scenes virtual tour via Zoom. Through our virtual tours, we’ve taken folks to the Mojave Desert, Broadway, and the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore; we’ve offered classes in French Impressionism, sun-printing, and choreography; and we’ve visited with each other over some delicious treats from Milwaukee’s ethnic bakeries and at Will Rogers’ ranch in California. Spring Experience: Members will venture to a local business/organization for a free tour to learn about local industries. *Members will carpool to locations.
UWM CGS Campus Community: Single Community Members can attend one theater show or music concert at the Washington County or Waukesha Campus each year. Family Community Members will receive free admission for 2 people.
Members will have the opportunity to meet new friends and connect
with old friends throughout the semester at our Community Member Socials.
Socials may have a guest lecturer; members are encouraged to provide lecture
Field Station Tour: The UWM at Waukesha Field Station is home to a beautiful, restored prairie/oak savannah, a variety of forestland, an ephemeral pond, Henrietta Lake and Scuppernong Creek. Visitors will enjoy walking the 3.5 miles of mowed hiking trails, as well as boardwalks over wetland areas. The unique wood-fired kiln and the Wildlife in Need Center (WINC) make it a truly amazing educational destination. A group tour will be scheduled each semester.

Lifelong Learning: Members will receive special discounts and/or opportunities throughout the semester.
